So last night I was in a flare up and was struggling to walk but after some meds I was able to find the courage to push play... mainly it was because my hubby was going to be doing it and I could not resist joining him. SO, after the meds started to kick in we pushed play and gave it all we had. My dear hubby did AWESOME! There was not a move that he was not able to do and keep up with Tony and the gang... he rocked it! I, on the other hand, had difficulty warming up but once the meds took full effect and the joints were loosened up it went well. There were a couple of exercises that I was forced to modify and I successfully stuck through it all. I am sure that was worth a TON of calories!
So, tonight is another new exercise and I am looking forward to it.

Poly Lupic Arthritis may be my diagnosis but staying active is my prescription. It started with P90x followed by Insanity, then the Couch to 5K followed by Bridge to 10K... and now I am tackling P90X2... I am earning my new physique that the meds have hidden so well.

Bi, Tri and shoulders
OMGoodness... that was a ton of push ups! I know that I will see improvement in this workout because I was rather disappointed with my results of my first time around. I know that I have a lot of work to do and I am confident that by pushing myself during the exercises I will see the fruit of my labor.

Core Synergistics
WOW... I don't know if it was my diet yesterday or if I just needed a shot of SOMETHING but the workout was tough. I did all my push-ups from the plank position and I managed to do all but the Plank to Chattarunga ISO and the table thingy at the end. I was SWEATING up a storm! Totally soaked my tank tops... both of them and it felt so good when I was done. We started at 8h30 pm and that may have been a bit late for the busy day that we had put in but I did it - I pushed play!
Tonight starts Phase 2 and I can't wait... tomorrow morning I am getting up early and doing Cardio as my plan is to do doubles for the remainder.

Today = day of rest...
BUT because yesterday was my baby boy's 5th birthday party we took last night as our night of rest and hubby and I decided that we would crush Core again tonight... just for fun!
We managed very well this past week and I will be weighing in again at my Doctor's office on Wednesday so I will update my progress on Wednesday or Thursday. Tomorrow we start Phase 2 and I hear that it has some intense videos - I can't wait!
I just wanted to say that I have graduated from my knees to my toes for the push ups in this program!!! I am struggling but I am getting it done and I am proud of myself!!
Anyway, make it a great day!

I may have stopped updating daily...
... but I haven't stopped pushing play! I am still keeping track of my daily calorie intake and I am enjoying the recovery week this week. Tonight is Stretch X followed by another round of Core and Yoga to complete the week. I realized that with all the strength training of the Classic program that I have not kept up with the cardio portion that the Lean program offered. I was gased the first time I did the Core workout (and my core is still sore because of that workout) but I felt much better last night while doing Kenpo. I love the sweat from the cardio exercises and I am looking forward to doing the Cardio X three times per week beginning next week. I can't wait to see the results of the next 30 days.

Still going strong
You know when you are planning a work-related trip and you insist on upgrading to a suite to allow for room to do the P90X that you have it BAD! But, that is what I am doing for next week!
Still doing the exercises every night and I am starting the recovery week this week... so bring on the cardio! I really like this program a lot... can't wait to see what phase 2 looks like... I am planning on doing doubles this phase.

Chest and Back and weigh in day
Well, I am really pleased how much I improved in this workout... don't get me wrong - I know that I have a LONG way to go BUT... WOW! I am now using 25 pound weights for heavy pants and lawnmower and I have graduated to 15 pound weights for the back flys... yeah me!
I still struggle with the push ups but I still continue to push myself. And when I think that I can't do anymore I force myself to do two more... and all of that must be working because I lost another 3.3 pounds on the scale over the past two weeks. I am a happy girl and highly motivated to keep going.

Day of rest
Well today was the scheduled day of rest but I intended on doing the Kenpo workout the I missed the night before. I went to my council meeting and it was longer than I expected so by the time I got home my hubby was just finishing up the Kenpo workout... I did not get to do it with him!
Anyway, tonight is Shoulders and Back... push ups and chin ups baby!

Yoga, Legs and Back and Kenpo
OK... I have a confession to make I goofed up this weekend! Yoga did not happen for me nor did Kenpo! I know that it is important for me to get in that cardio BUT I had an insane weekend of laundry, cleaning, cooking, planning for the week ahead and getting back into the old routine because the children started school again this week! No excuses but, in all honesty, I did burn a fair amount of calories during this crazy weekend and I still did my Legs and Back routine.
Legs and back = PAIN! It is a great pain though and what a great feeling when I accomplished the chair squats AND both sessions of wall squats... it was a moment of true triumph! Bring on this week ... week THREE! I am ready!!
I also was able to cook soup, turkey and several other dishes to make it easier for me this week to follow the menu. This is the first week where I will be committing to the diet and the regime... I will see success this week again. I decided to put off the weigh in until the end of this week, in a way I can't wait to see what has happened on the scale but in another I don't care BECAUSE I know that I look and feel better and my clothes fit differently. At the end of this round I will be doing measurements... that is where it counts!

Arms, Shoulders and Triceps
Whew.. I am feeling stronger and getting through the workouts so much easier! OK... let me clarify, it is in no way EASY!! But I am getting through them with a lot of determination and sweat. I love this program, I love the motivation that Tony provides, I love that I push myself and sweat through my tank top and shorts every single workout and I love that I feel compelled to BRING IT every single day.
I do have to confess something, I think that I may be addicted to the Recovery drink and that the drink may be helping motivate me to get through the hour of exercise ;)
Oh well, whatever it takes - right!
In any case, tonight is Yoga... my least favorite DVD of all the DVDs.

Plyo success
Well my joints were on fire and my muscles were burning but I DID IT! I managed to do it all and I am sore this morning although I am feeling over the moon about doing so well last night. Tonight we move on to arms and shoulders... my arms are still really sore from Tuesday night, so I am worried about it :S

Back and Chest ... I am getting better
Well, last night was back and chest and I felt that I was certainly making progress. I bought a new resistance band this past weekend and used that for the chin ups and I also made significant strides when it came to the push ups. I am getting through it!! Last week I felt like crying when I was trying to do this DVD ... I just felt like it was so far beyond anything that I could do but I kept pushing myself, trying harder and sweating more until this week I could almost keep up!! It is incredible the difference 1 week makes.
Tonight is my grocery night and I am going to start following the diet to a T. This is not something that I have been doing although I have been eating clean and trying to pay attention to portion sizes. I am willing to give the diet a try and see if that speeds up my results...

Moncton & PEI + Plyometrics and Arms & Back = success
Well the family packed up and went to Atlantic Canada for the weekend and my hubby and I brought along the P90X and our weights and we managed to squeeze in the Plyo and the Arms and Back routines... did not manage to get the workouts in everyday but we did succeed in completing some of them. This is the last weekend that we will be vacationning for a while and I look forward to some stable workout times. Tonight we are redoing the week 2 because I felt that we did not give it a fair shake.
